Timișoara's most beloved open-air festival returns for its sixth edition — Gipsy Kings headlines the Green Forest this August 28–30, and for the first time, the forest is open to on-chain investors.

Some festivals are about music. Others are about escape. CODRU Festival is about connection between people, generations, music, and nature.
Born in a forest near Timișoara, CODRU transforms a cultural event into a living ecosystem where community and sustainability grow together. Each ticket creates tangible impact: a tree planted, a memory built, a reason to return.
CODRU (meaning "ancient forest" in Romanian) is a multi-day music & arts festival that has grown from a bold local vision into one of Europe's most distinctive independent festival brands, recognized in the European Festival Awards TOP 10 Best Medium-Sized Festivals in Europe.
With over 85,000 trees planted and a fast-growing and loyal audience, CODRU is steadily positioning itself as a leading festival with purpose in Europe.
CODRU doesn’t scale overnight, it grows sustainably, just like the forest it builds.
CODRU began with a clear vision: to create a festival that gives back.
Since its first edition in 2019, the project has evolved from a local initiative into a scalable cultural platform with growing regional and international relevance.
CODRU was founded with a clear thesis: Romania deserved a world-class festival experience rooted in its own identity, not a copy-paste of Western formats. What started as a boutique event in the forests outside Timișoara quickly became something audiences hadn't felt before: a gathering that was simultaneously a concert, an art installation, a forest retreat, and a call to action.
The founding team led by Victor Balaniuc & Darius Ivo, serial entrepreneurs and co-founders of The Entertainment Group & Front Row Events had already shaped the Romanian festival landscape through years of work on some of the country’s most iconic events, including early involvement with UNTOLD, now one of world’s largest festivals.
Now entering its 6th edition, CODRU is focusing on its strongest asset, its community. This consistent annual cycle, combining spring activations with a summer festival peak, drives engagement, retention, and long-term brand value.
CODRU is not an experiment. It is a brand with a community. Five consecutive editions have been delivered by The Entertainment Group, one of Romania's most experienced live event production companies, and amplified by media partner Radio ZU, the country's leading radio station. The festival is institutionally supported by the Timiș County Council, giving it the kind of backing that speaks to operational stability and civic legitimacy. Tickets are distributed through iaBilet, Romania's dominant ticketing platform, with pre-sales that consistently demonstrate real audience demand.
This is the risk profile of a sixth edition, not a debut. Five track records. One well-mapped playbook.
Investment in CODRU is directly tied to a clearly defined annual production cycle. Capital is deployed efficiently across artist programming, production infrastructure, logistics, and international marketing, while also reinforcing the festival’s unique sustainability layer.
This structure ensures controlled execution, scalable growth, and dual returns: financial performance and brand equity built on purpose.
Investor capital is allocated directly toward the execution of CODRU Festival 2026, including:
* Artist bookings and programming, international headliners and curated underground acts;
* Production, staging, and technical infrastructure, world-class site build and AV;
Venue operations and logistics, site management, safety, and hospitality;
* International marketing and promotion, social media campaigns, OOH, UGC, and influencer activations;
* Working capital for operational optimization, supplier payments, contingency, and cashflow management.
Capital is tied to a single, defined event with a fixed production cycle, not an open-ended venture. CODRU 2026 has a clear timeline, a defined cost structure, and a battle-tested team with a proven history of delivering complex, multi-day live events at scale.
Investing in CODRU means backing a festival with a strong identity, a loyal audience, and a clear growth trajectory. It is an opportunity to be part of a project that generates revenue while building long-term cultural relevance and community-driven value.
Invest and benefit from both financial returns and privileged access to one of Europe’s most compelling independent festival stories. CODRU investors become part of a brand that is building toward a permanent place in the European festival calendar.
Each edition plants more trees, reaches more people, and raises the bar. The 2026 edition is the biggest yet, and we’re inviting the right partners to grow with us.
👉 Invest in CODRU 6. Be part of the forest's most ambitious chapter yet.
CODRU is driven by a close-knit team. Their strength lies not only in experience, but in shared belief and long-term commitment. With solid expertise in production, creative direction, and audience development, the team consistently delivers a complex event with authenticity and precision. CODRU Festival 2026 is led by a long-standing core team that has been delivering exceptional live experiences since 2015. With over a decade of experience across event production, artist curation, sponsorship, and international operations, the team combines creative boldness with disciplined execution, a key reason CODRU has reached European Festival Awards recognition while remaining financially sound and operationally independent. The team operates under The Entertainment Group (TEG), a 50+ person organization spanning events, production, content, and brand partnerships. Our infrastructure is not assembled for this edition. It is permanent, proven, and built for scale.
